Modeling Radiofrequency Ablation of a Spherical Breast Tumor
Veröffentlicht in 2016
A three-dimensional heterogeneous model of breast has been modeled with a spherical tumor of 1.5 cm. PID controller has been used to perform temperature-controlled RFA of breast tumor. The coupled effect of blood perfusion and variable conductivity during RFA has been investigated. The effect of set target temperature on ablation volume, temperature distribution and input voltage requirements has been studied. Preset study may provide a priori information to the clinical practitioner in the treatment planning stage of RFA.
