Finite Element Simulation of Microwave Structures for Experiments in Quantum Computing with Superconducting Circuits
Veröffentlicht in 2019
Experiments in quantum computation using superconducting circuits involve fabrication of various microwave frequency structures like waveguide cavities, meander inductors, inter-digitated capacitors, etc. In order to optimize the design, we use finite element simulation using COMSOL Multiphysics® to extract relevant design parameters. We use various techniques like eigenmode analysis, electrostatic simulations and scattering matrix extraction to understand and optimize our device design. In this presentation, I will discuss a few examples of microwave structures used in our research and how we use
COMSOL Multiphysics®
to simulate their performance.
