Are 3d printable Triple Periodic Minimal Surfaces optimal geometries for the stationary phase in LC?
Veröffentlicht in 2024
The separation performance of several TPMS as stationary phases in Liquid Chromatography (LC) is investigated by the implementation, in Comsol Multiphysics, of the robust and computationally efficient homogenization approach, grounded on exact local and integral moments. Specifically, the dispersion tensor is obtained from the solution of the stationary advection-diffusion equations of the b-fields with periodic boundary conditions on different strut-based and sheet-based TPMSs. Their performances are compared with that of other LC stationary phases such as the TSM and the random packing of spheres.
