Have you got any solutions to your problem? I am also working on a task that involves electrostatic induction. I haven't found any reasonable solution. How I am doing it currently is that I am using port setting for the two surfaces and applying charges/ voltages. I am not sure if this is fine. What I want (or actually what should happen) is that the charge should accumulate on the oppositely facing edges of the two metallic surfaces rather than being distributed within the metal structures. I am not sure if this is what I am getting. Please, reply about your experiences.
