Motion of Cross Section

TL;DR : In a geometric sweep, how is the twist angle calculated, what values does the "parameter name" take?

Hi, I'm currently attempting to sweep a face through a curve while twisting it.

In the "motion of the cross section" box, there are "parameter name" and "twist angle" boxes.
My geometry is perfect when my twist angle = 29*s degrees, and I do not know why. I could not find a specific explanation in the documentation. How do I know what values "s" is equal to?

Many thanks,
Dan
