Convergence issue when using the optimization option

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello,

I am facing a consistence problem; I read a lot of topics about this kind of issue but none of the solutions purposed worked (reducing time step, increasing the mesh quality...). The weirdest thing is that my study work very well when I don't use the optimization plug-in (I didn't load it as a Physics) -I use this plug-in in order to control the slope of my maximum temperature.
My model is a very brief laser impulsion (10ms) heating a little pellet. According to the log error, it is the rectangle function I used which seems to cause the problem...

Here is my error message :
Failed to find consistent initial values.
Failed to evaluate variable.
Variable: p laser
Failed to evaluate expression.
Expression: p laser*mod1.rect1(pulse T t internalArgument)
Error in user-defined function.
Function: mod1.pulse T
Last time step is not converged.

Feel free to tell me if I wasn't clear.
Thanks for your help,
Adrien
