Modelling elastic plates subjected to moving loads

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi,

I am completely new in Comsol (even worse). Can you help me with modeling issue?

We have a rectangular thin linear-elastic plate, which is deformed under influence of a constant normal load, moving along the upper surface of the plate along given trajectory. A viscoelastic damper of small length is attached to the plate, which is able to freely move along the upper surface of the plate also by given trajectory.

As I understand, I need first to create the plate of a certain material. Then I have to attached the damper and the load.

But I don`t know how to do that. What to begin with? How to move the force and the damper along plate lower and upper surfaces, respectively?
