Hi, I am new to COMSOL. I am doing research with Isotachophoresis.
I am trying to simulate a micro-channel that has electric potential in one of the boundaries and ground in the other. Inside the channel there are 3 types of fluids: leading electrolyte, protein sample, and trailing electrolyte. Those fluids should not react together. There should be no in or out flow of liquids.
I used the transport of diluted species module, to create 2 species: leading electrolyte, protein 1, protein 2, and trailing electrolyte. But the results are not what I was expecting. The species are moving, but the problem is that the proteins are moving to the end of the channel and just "mixing" with the leading electrolyte at the boundary. They are supposed to band up together close to the end and not mix with the leading electrolyte. I have a feeling that the leading electrolyte should not be used as a species in the simulation, but I am not sure how to fix that.
Please help me.
