2d radiation boundary for a spherical model with azimuthal symmetry

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi,

I have a surface-to-ambient radiation boundary on a sphere. There is azimuthal symmetry, so the model can be reduced to a 2d solid half-circle. I therefore want to apply the radiation boundary to a 2d arc, consistent with spherical geometry, i.e. dA = r^2 sin(theta) dtheta dphi. I haven't been able to find COMSOL's implementation details for a radiation boundary, so I'm not sure what is the recommended way to handle this specific problem. Thanks for any help.

Tyler
