Relative error is greater than relative tolerance error

Hello all,

I am new to Comsol and am trying to do a very simple simulation so familiarize myself with the software.
I am using the Joule Heating and Thermal Expansion module in Comsol and my model is a simple beam (rectangular prism) with length 100 um, width 10 um and height 10 um. I simply apply current to one end of the beam and ground the other end and I am attempting to simulate the temperature distribution across the beam. Additionally I have set the two ends where current and ground are to a set temperature of 293 K before solving. The material of the beam is silicon.

I continue to receive this error:
Failed to find a solution.
In segregated group 1:
The relative error (1.1e+002) is greater than the relative tolerance.
Returned solution is not converged.

Whenever I attempt to play with the inputs the only difference in the error is that the relative error value (in this case 1.1e+002) changes to something different.

Any ideas on where this error might arise from?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Ryan D.

My guess: make sure you're preventing rigid body motions, otherwise the problem does not have a single solution.
