Evaluate function F=C1*C2, where C1 and C2 are from two different solution

Hii..

I want to evaluate a function F=C1*C2, where C1 and C2 are solved in two different solutions. C1 is solved in Solution1, which is a stationary solution, while C2 is solved in a time dependent solution, Solution2.

How do I evaluate this during post processing. One way is to define the function and evaluate it while I am solving Solution2, I think. But is there a way to evaluate this kind of function, even if it hasnt been defined a variable during the solution.

Hi all

I also found this interesting. I am also wondering how to evaluate a fucntion like F=C1*C2, and then do a integral of F. Here, in my case, C1 and C2 are or could be electric field from two different soluations. One is just done with slightly different parameter setting, but same geometry and mesh.
Hope someone can help me with this.

Hi,

You can use a Join data set to produce a data set (solution) that is the product of two other solutions. If you combine a stationary study and a time-dependent study, in the settings window for the Join node, use "One" as the setting in the "Solutions" list for the stationary data set, and use "All" as the setting in the "Solutions" list for the time-dependent data set to get a product of the stationary solution with the time-dependent solution at every time step.
