local and average heat transfer coefficients

Hi,

I am trying to model 3D single phase flow with heat transfer in a rectangular duct. A rectangular heater area on the floor of the channel, halfway down the length, is used to heat the fluid. The heat flux is supplied as a step function. (x is the direction of the flow, y is along the width of the channel and z is the height). There are other effects involved, which I have left out here and therefore, a 3D simulation is necessary.

Using COMSOL, is it possible to determine local and average heat transfer coefficients with heat flux, surface and mean fluid temperatures?
