Splitting one Geometry in two

Hello,
Iam a newy in working with comsol Multiphysics and would be very glad if I could find some help in this forum for my problem.
I would like to define two different materials in one geometry. You can watch in my attached grafic-file, which geometry Iam talking about. The file shows an tank with luiquid gas inside. But the tank should be filled with liquid gas just for 60 % and the rest should be gas. So there should be something like a border to define the liquid and the gas phase.
I have tried to do it with the workplane, but unfortunetly without succeeding.
Do somebody know how to handle this?

Hi

indeed with a workplane and a drawing of the closed "solid" contour you should get a cut plane.
Else, the hard way, since your model looks very symmetric, is to add a block cutting away half the model, and then reconstructing it with a rotation of 180 or a mirror node

thank you very much for your help!
I tried the first tipp and succeed. But unfortunetly its only working with 50 %. So when the workplane splitts the middle of the tank. If I try to draw the solid contour at a higher plane, like somewhere above the middle axis, the contours come out of the tank because the tank gets smaller but the drawing plane is just for the middle axis.
I don't want to measure the contours. Should't the drawing plane be on the plane where I define it?
I hope you know what I mean and can give me a tipp!

these approaches were tricky before, it has been solved in the new 4.3b, that has added features of projecting cut planes and line conversion (finally :)
