File is lost after opening a model from the Model Library

It happened to me several times. When I go to the Model Library and open a model, then my original file that I was working on at the moment is automatically closed without any prompt message or an option to save the file before closing. Is this a bug in 4.1 or is there a setting somewhere that changes this behaviour?
