Calculation time

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello,

I developed a model which simulate the trajectories of atmospheric particles in an electrostatic precipitator. In order to optimize the collection efficiency, I plan to run the model by changing the voltage and the flow rate using the "parameter sweep" option. Before to run these simulations, I would like to estimate the calculation time needed to solve each COMSOL simulation. Does anyone knows how to do that?

Thank you in advance for your help.
Best regards,

Hello Florian,

When employing Parametric Sweep in COMSOL 4.4, the computational cost for each run of simulation is recorded and reported in Log, in terms of solution time, physical memory, and virtual memory.

I hope this information is useful to you.

By the way, may I know whether you specified the surface charge density at the wire surface for the PDE solving for the charge density.

Best Regards

Dear sir,
can you upload it , i need help in the ionization part for the particles inside the participator.
