reaction force, moment and stresses

Can someone tell me what exactly reaction forces and moments are in a solid mechanics model? (If it helps, more specifically, my model involves inverse piezoelectric effect, where a certain amount of voltage across two boundaries of a piezoelectric material, causes deformation. I am interested in calculating the amount of mechanical energy involved in the deformation. But can't really come up with a good formula, and the results output in COMSOL are pretty confusing).
