Adhesion and decohesion in a hyperelastic material

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello,

We are two students trying to model a fracture in a hyperelastic material, trying to make it similar to a set of experiment data we've received. We have figured out the hyperelastic bit -before the fracture is supposed to happen, but we simply cannot figure out how to actually make the fracture grow. Instead of crack growth, our model just deforms.

I have attached an image of the experiment setup, also our current comsol file. We have figured out we're supposed to use the adhesion decohesion settings, but we can't make it work on this model.

Does anyone have any tips or suggestion on how we can create the model/crack growth similar to the image?

Thank you!!
