I am modeling a two-phase flow problem in which some of the material properties are function of pressure and deformation and its derivatives. My model, so far, seems to work for a second-degree shape function for velocities and first-degree for pressure. However, this is the case when my mesh is very course. Once I refine the mesh, the solution cannot be acieved.
When I use first-degree shape functions, regardless of the mesh size, the model doesn't work.
In the model there are two fraction in which denominators may get very very small during the calculations and it might also contribute to the problem.
Euler-Euler/CFD/Time depenedent/Nonlinear/4.2a Comsol.
I am still working on the model to make sure where the main source of the problem is, but any input from users is appreciated.
Cheers,
Hossein
