Level set method in 3D: validation not possible

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

2D: two parallel plates, water rising up the plates due to capillary force -> works perfect and is validated by analytical results (Two_Plates.mph) 3D: two parallel cylinders, water rising up between the cylinders (not in the cylinder), same physics as in 2D -> i can't validate the results (Two_Cylinders.mph)

question: I read online that the transition from 2D to 3D with the level set method is not straight forward. Does the level set method in comsol also work in 3D? what are your experiences?
