Modelling cylindrically anisotropic materials

I have been trying to model a metamaterial design obtained using transformation optics, where the end material is a cylindrically anisotropic material with properties varying with radius and theta(angle). Now, I need to change the properties of the material, namely permittivity and permeability, as a function of the dimension, the radius of the cylinder.
My first approach was to define the radius and theta as global parameters, define the properties of the material as a function (I used analytic function) of these two and then sweep the parameters between the limits. But, it either ends up in an error or I get ambiguous results.
I have been unable to find similar problems. Parametric sweep seems to 'sweep' the parameters in the form of iterations- different values for the parameters are taken in each separate iteration; not really suitable for my case i think as I need to include all the values in each iterations.
