Parametric Sweep/Batch-Mode using multiple CPUs

Hi,
i have two questions:

Is the difference between the two modes that in parametric sweep the same model ist solved several times with different parameters each whereas batch-mode solves several model-mph-files one after another?

Are this two modes capable of using multiple processors on a machine to run processes in parallel and is Comsol allocating the processes to the CPUs automatically and efficiently?
