inductance of parallel wires

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello!

I am trying to simulate the inductance between 2 parallel straight wires. I am using a 2D geometry adding a layer to the wires to represent their thickness.

I am adding a current using the external current density domain and specifying Jz only.

I am finding difficulties understanding how to compute the inductance between the wires. In an online tutorial( https://www.comsol.it/model/mutual-inductance-and-induced-currents-between-single-turn-coils-12653 ) I found that when using the coil domain and the following codes where used to find the inductance:

mf.LCoil_1 - External coil inductance 2*mf.intWm/1[A^2] - Energy estimate for external coil inductance mf.L_2_1 - Computed mutual inductance

I wanted to ask if there are similar commands for the external current density domain.

Thank you for your help
