Comsol v4.2a - What version of DirectX comes with DVD?

Has anyone installed Comsol v4.2a and verified which version of DirectX (9, 9.0c, or?) comes with the core installation DVD? ...also will Comsol v4.2a function with DirectX 10 or newer?
