Electromagnetic effects in artificial skin

Hello,
we are a team of students in mechatronics and we are working on a project which is an artificial skin. It is composed of PDMS and copper wires in it. It actually looks like a matrix (4x4) so 16 nodes. We have modeled it so we can calculate the capacity between two "cross" wires. When we are applying a "strength" to simulate a finger pressing on the skin, so that the space between the two wires decreases, the capacity is increasing. However, we are connected to the ground, and we don't know what this effect can bring in the results. Besides, we also don't know about the electromagnetic effects of the other wires on the ones we are using to calculate the capacity. Can you help us with this issue and how to model it in COMSOL?
Thank you for your answer.
