How to calculate the distance of a particle which flow through a channel?

As the title shows, I want to calculate the distance of a particle which flows through a channel. It is easy to simulation the track of paricle which flows through a channe in CFD model, but how to calculate the distance? If you have any advices, please reply under this question. Thanks a lot.
