Stick an Anisotropic Tensor to a Curvilinear Domain

I am working with a curvilinear domain that has got an anisotropic resistivity.
Is there any way to make the this tensor 'stick' to the local coordinates that follow the domain orientation?
Do I have to define a mapped coordinate system?
Thanks in advance.
