Good morning everyone, can I ask a particular question on COMSOL? How this program draws Strain versus life time curve?

Dear Can

When evaluating fatigue in COMSOL you have to provide the material data yourself. In a fatigue simulation this data is related to the fatigue variables that define a load cycle and finally the fatigue output, such as for example number of cycles to failure, is computed. For strain-life relation you have three options: E-N curve, Basquin relation and Combined Basquin and Coffin-Manson relation. In the E-N option you simply specify the relation between strain amplitude and the corresponding life time, while in the two remaining options the fatigue data is defined with formulas.

Kind regards
Mateusz Stec
