Free Convection in a Light Bulb Tutorial Model

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi All,
I am going over the tutorial material provided in www.comsol.com/model/free-convection-in-a-light-bulb-303 and I have a question regarding the configuration of the initial values.

The tutorial guide sets the pressure inside the bulb to 50kPa denoted as "p0". Then this value is used once under Laminar flow in the "pref" field. However, the "Initial Values" section under the Laminar flow has a pressure value of 0Pa by default. Therefore the transient analysis yields increasing pressure from 0Pa to 73kPa in the tutorial for Argon in the bulb.

Should the Initial value be overwritten to be p0 or or left to be 0Pa ?

Thanks,

-Ozan
