Ill-conditioned preconditioner. Increase factor in error estimate to 18704635135.61623

Hello

when i run my model, it gives me the solution, however i receive a warning too:
"Ill-conditioned preconditioner. Increase factor in error estimate to 18704635135.61623"
i would be grateful if anybody explain what it means.

Hi,

I also get such an error . In fact I am following a comsol example. In my case it is backstep laminar flow. It is strange. The results are exactly like what is expected as are shown in pdf model in the liberary but I get this error messege as well. Did you figure it out where it comes from?

Nobody has answer for this question?. I also got same error when solving laminar flow in a tube!.

Hi,

It may due to the scaling of your variables, cehck the results and see whether imposing a Manual scaling value similar to the results you still get the error message.

Thanks for your reply. I get around that issue by changing the initial condition (instead of default value 0) to inlet velocity.
