Ultrasound waves diffraction

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello,
I'm trying to generate ultrasound waves within water medium and let it pass through a diffraction grating then reflect by a mirror behind the grating so it will pass a gain through the grating toward a detector which is at the same level of the source but on the other end. I was able to put the transducer out of the water at the edge in 2D but I wasn't able to make it work in 3D. even in 2D the waves propagation was not as expected and I'm not sure why maybe there was a coupling problem? I need it to work in 3D not in 2D though, I just was practicing in 2D. I'm attaching my work which is not working. I hope you will guide me to let it work.
Thank you
