Laser heating

I have modeled laser as Gaussian pulse with pulse duration 3.67nS. But I am facing one problem. if the time of observation(time after laser pulse) is creased, the change of temperature due to laser heating is getting increased. Actually same energy and same same pulse duration are given. Anybody can help,
