Out of memory error running Comsol 4.0a with Matlab

I'm trying to run Comsol 4.0a with Matlab following the example in the manual, but I get this error:

I then tried with a VERY simple 2D geometry (the attached model) and, as you see, I still get the same error. I dont get this. The geometry is extremely simple and the mesh is "extra coarse".
Anyone with a solution to this? I would be a happy student and comsoler!
