Laser absorption in multilayers

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi.
I am trying to add a layer to the pulsed laser heating tutorial model (attached), and having some difficulties.
When setting up Q_in as a heat source, I would like to refer to different absorption coefficient in each layer.
Here is Q_in source term:
Q0*(1-Rc)*Ac*(1/(pi*sigx*sigy))*an1(x,x0,sigx,y,y0,sigy)*exp(-Ac*abs(z))
(where, Ac is absorption coefficient) and defined in: definitions/variables

The problem is that the Ac is defined in "global definitions" and when I try to define it only in the layers' material properties, the Q_in is under-defined.
How can I implement each layer to be with different absorption coefficient?

Thanks in advance,
Amir
