Time Dependent Subdomain and Boundaries

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

I am trying to solve an array of layer depositions and I need information about the possibility for Comsol to activate subdomains and deactivate them for an specific period of time. This according to a moving heat sorce that changes in time and space.

The same happens with the boundary conditions is there a way to change it depending on time?

Is there a way to solve this with out the necesity to solve layer by layer manually?

Regards

Hi
I would have tried either with a script, by turning "on" the layers in a for loop, or something similar, or perhaps you can manage in the GUI approach by nulling the unwanted heat (and strucrural ?) properties of your layers with a *(t>t_n) or better a smoothened heaviside function to avoid the abrupt "turn on" (run a heaviside indexed search on your pdf docs for mre info on them).

Good luck
