Particle tracing module. Latent heat

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello,
I would like to simulate velocity, trajectory, temperature and melting small particle of silica (<500 um).I use particle tracing module and non-isothermal flow module. Particle temperature increase and particle melt. But melting include latent heat. In Particle tracing module this variable present. But if i choose equation view, variable Latent heat does not presented in variables list. How I can incorporate latent heat in particle melting equation?
Can someone help me?
Thanks everybody

Hello Ruitkop,

Currently i am working in the simulation of laser cladding. As a part of this multi physics simulation now am in the stage of modelling the CFD of the powder flow with the carrier gas and its interaction with the laser heat source. Fluid flow module and particle tracing in fluid flow module are currently used, but to bring the melting into the simulation and get it deposited which module should i use following the above two modules..??

Can you please share your model file for some clarity..?? if possible...!!

Thanks in advance.
