Composites. Thermoset resin cure kinetics

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Dear all,

I am new to Comsol and interested in working on composites. I would like to simulate the kinetics of epoxy resin cure, and the evolution of the resin properties with temperature and degree of cure . Unfortunately I don't know how to begin with this. The geometry is a disc and I have started with the heat transfer module and introducing my own kamal equation for the cure kinetics.

Can someone help me with cure modeling of composites?. I am not even sure if the model is well built because non-linear solver did not converge when I make the compute.

I would be grateful if someone can help me with some references/suggestions/examples etc. Did someone already build a similar model??

Thank you.

Hello,

I am also interested in modelling something similar to Christina's in comsol. I want to simulate the coupled thermal and cure kinetics problem for a thermoset composite. Can you give me any advice or examples? Thank you in advance.

hi, I'm also new for the thermoset. Can we make friends and learn each other.
