dual core effective index

Hi everybody,
I want to calculate the effective indices in two cores of a dual core PCF separately.When I run the programme, light is confined in both cores simultaneously.I want to calculate effective inex of light in each core.Is there any way to calculate this in COMSOL 4.3.Thank you .
