liquid loading

I'm a beginner level COMSOL user and new to this forum. So please excuse me if I happen to ask a really silly question. I've been trying to simulate the behaviour of a piezoelectric crystal upon viscous liquid loading (a thin film of liquid which affects resonance by changing impedance of the crystal) but I'm having trouble since adding a new layer in the geometry asks for coupling coefficients, strain and relative permittivity matrix, which I can't provide for the liquid, only for the crystal. I only want to observe how the viscosity of liquid is affecting crystal resonance and can provide only viscosity data. I tried loading the crystal..using "added mass" for the crystal which works but that uses just density data, viscosity doesn't come into picture at all. Also it would be great if someone could help me as to how to observe the impedance changes w.r.t viscosity changes. Can someone guide me through the procedure? Thanks in advance!

Hi Anumeha,

I am trying to solve a similar problem. Could you figure out your problem?

Thanks,

Omer
