Mathematical formulation of capacitance......

Hello,
Sir I made acapacitor sensor model in COMSOL, using following dimensions-
60e-6*60e-6*1.5e-6(first plate)
60e-6*60e-6*1.5e-6(second plate,acting as air)
60e-6*60e-6*1.5e-6(third plate)
Can anybody tell How to calculate capacitance of plates MATHEMATICALLY?????!!!
Please provide any information regarding this problem....

Hi
You can check on Wiki, or do a search on the FORUM, but if you ignore the side effects, the capacity is proportiaonal to the area, the inverse separation distance times the dielectric constant of you material (e_0*e_r) in [F/m] and a 1/4/pi for the geoemtrical normalisation.
It's also explained in most books ;)
