Simulate an optical fiber with pressure applied

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi there,

I am a beginner with Comsol and I want to simulate the effect of pressure on the effective index of the fundamental mode of an optical fiber. I have created a 2d model to simulate applying a pressure to an optical fiber with an effective mode index of 1.52. I have made a model to simulate the optical fiber with ewfd, but I don’t know how to build a relationship between the optics (ewfd) and the pressure applied and plot the result with refractive index change of the fundamental mode versus pressure applied. I would be grateful if someone can give me a helping hand.

Regards,

Daniel
