Diffusive equation for photon migration.

Hi, I'm a new user of COMSOL, and I need some help to create a (simple) model of photon migration through multi-lareyed turbid media (each layer with different absorption, scattering and diffusion coefficients). I tried to use a Helmholtz eq. for my model (because it's a frequency domain model, with a wave modulation factor exp(iwt)). The source I'm using is Dirac delta function, with some Robin boundary conditions on each boundary of a rectangle. The rectangle is divided in three layers (two thin layers at the top and a big fat layer in the rest of the rectangular domain). I've already defined one different material for each layer, with different absorption, diffusion and scattering properties). I computed and obtained the light distribution from the source (set at the top boundary) like if there was not dividing layers. I can't get the influence of each layer to the final fluence, it just solve my problem like if it was a homogeneous medium. Thanks!
