Failed to evaluate nonintegral power of negative number

This is a question that has been posted in the past. However, I do not see a solution to the question posted and wanted to know if someone in the recent past has solved the problem.

I have steady state PDEs solved using the built-in mathematical PDE module. For a particular set of parameter values, I get an error message that says "Attempt to evaluate nonintegral power of negative number".

If I try to increase the parameter approx by one order of magnitude, I do not get the above error message and COMSOL solves the problem.

Can someone give pointers as to why I may be getting this error and how I could avoid this??
