Solid mechanics equations, stationary

could you please refer me to a source explaining the stationary equations solved in the solid mechanics module?

you mean the equations in the equation view ?
Well, for that you have the detailed Theory section of the "Solid" documentation, and the references therein, the documentation of the COMSOL reference manual and the solvers ...

For the physics of "solid" I like the two books of Tadmor&al "Modeling Materials" try a search or jump to www.modelingmaterials.org
