Hi!

Does anyone know how to define background filed ( in Ewfd, solve for scattered field) as an interpolated function from Comsol?

Hi,

Partly yes.
You should export your data to file as a table. It can be done in "Export" ->"Data". Then if you need information about field, you choose it in "Expression".
Now you have files with tables with meanings of your field. By the way, you can wary the grid.

How to use it as background field: you should interpolate ypur tables. It can be done at
Global definitions-> functions->interpolation-> download from table

And now you can use your function as background field

If a field is computed by COMSOL, it's both unnecessary and not a good idea to export it out and import it back in, for many reasons.
Please contact COMSOL's support team if you need assistance with this: www.comsol.com/support . They will be able to help with the best way to handle you particular case.
