Update solution for material properties...

hello everyone, i read in the user's guide on page 995-996 that update solution is applicable when material properties are edited i mean that recomputing is not necessary update solution works. But i am using comsol 4.4 and when i edit the material properties and update my solution it doesnt change until i recompute could anyone help.....
