rotated pattern of geometrical entities

Hello,
I am wondering if it is possible to make a rotated pattern of a geometrical entity (for example make N copies of an object, the nth copy being a rotated version of the original one by n*some_angle, around a defined axis)
This would be analogous to the Array operation which makes N copies linearly or in a rectangular pattern.
Thank you
Daniel
