3D waveguide in RF transient mode

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi,
I am quite new in 3D transient RF mode.
I just got a problem to get a result.
It is a plasmonic waveguide with an excitation input port at the end of the waveguide. And the excitation field is homogeneous in spatial of the input boundary and gaussian pulse in time. The strange thing is that if I use air instead of the metal, I can get results. But if I add the metal as it should be(I did not include any dispersion yet, just simple complex epsilon value), I can not get a result. The solver seems stop there, I wait several hours and it didn't any information about convergence.

Did anyone have similar problems?
