Hello,
I am new in Comsol and I am trying to simulate a heterogeneous catalytic process in a continuous catalytic wall reactor. The reactor is a flat plat which one of the walls is coated with catalyst. The reactant diffuses from the bulk to the catalytic surface to adsorb on the catalyst surface and react on the catalyst active sites. I have used laminar flow and the transport of diluted species modules to simulate the distribution of the reactant within the reactor. Now I want to add the reaction to my simulation but unfortunately I can not find a proper tutorial to find out how I should add the reaction.
I have found different modules such as chemical reaction and surface reaction modules in physics and also there is a reaction option in the transport of diluted species module. however, I do not know which of them is more suitable for my simulation. I know the reaction rate equation. I was wondering if somebody can give me some similar tutorial or help me with the reaction simulation.
Best, Maryam
