Good evening,

when I try to run comsol in matlab mode I get the following message in the matlab window:

??? Undefined function or method 'comsolmexpath' for input arguments of type
'char'.

So I applied the patch following instructions reported in this page:

www.comsol.com/support/updates/comsol35a3/

But patch didn't work. I got these error messages in the console output:

andrea@imxlcpc30:/usr/local/comsol35a$ sudo patch -p1 < /home/andrea/Desktop/comsol_3.5.0.608-p3_linux.patch

I did everything with root privilegies.

Does anybody know which could be the problem?

Thanks a lot

Best regards

I executed the command:

patch -Rf -p1 < [download file path]/comsol_3.5.0.608-p3_linux.patch

and I got similar errors. Then I thought maybe that's why the instructions to apply this command had a ">/dev/null" at the end. So, I just disregarded the errors and executed the second command:

patch -p1 < [download file path]/comsol_3.5.0.608-p3_linux.patch

Then I ran comsol and it worked without any errors. It connected to matlab 2010a with no errors as well.
