creating 2D plot (line graph) from a slice inside 3D model in v4

Hello,

I am struggling to figure out how to create a straight line on a slice to be used in my 2D plot (a line graph) I used a 2D cut line, and defined my two endpoints (X,Y), and then under the 2D line graph i selected the 2D cut line....however the graph shows nothing, I'm beginning to wonder whether the Z does affect the location of the line in my 3D model. Is there an easier way to create a 2D line plot ? The graph I am trying to create is concentration vs position along the x. in 3.5a, this is extremely easy to do, just define 2 points then create a line and it falls in place from there, but in v4, can't really do what 3.5a does.

Cheers,
